Can an ethics code help to achieve equity in international research collaborations? Implementing the global code of conduct for research in resource-poor settings in India and Pakistan

The Global Code of Conduct for Research in Resource-Poor Settings (GCC) aims to stop the export unethical research practices from higher lower income settings. Launched 2018, GCC was immediately adopted by European Commission funding streams application that is situated and lower-middle countries. Other institutions soon followed suit. This article reports on two first UK-funded projects implement this new code, one India Pakistan. Through systematic ethics evaluation both projects, practical real-world environments tested. findings suggest while there are challenges implementation, can promote equity international collaborations.
